National School Lunch Program Info

Dear CCHS Families,

I hope this letter finds you well. We are reaching out to inform you about the National School Lunch Program, which offers free and reduced-price lunches to eligible students.

The National School Lunch Program is a federally funded initiative that aims to provide students with balanced and healthy meals during the school day. We understand that circumstances can vary, and that's why we want to make sure every student who qualifies has the opportunity to benefit from this program. Eligibility is determined based on household income and size, and the program helps alleviate the financial burden for families who may be facing economic challenges.

Applying for free or reduced-price lunches is a simple and confidential process. You can find the application on your Infinite Campus Parent Portal by:

Clicking "More" on the menu on the left side of your homepage and then going to " Meal Benefits" where the application will be available for completion.

If you need assistance or have any questions regarding the application, please don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff in the Principal's Office, who are here to support you every step of the way.

Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch also receive a waiver for yearly registration fees ($50), and certain course fees required at CCHS.   Only one application needs to be completed per household.

Annually, the state requires a random verification to ensure that only those families who are eligible are receiving meal benefits. Families who are selected for verification must provide the requested documentation to prove that the information on the application is accurate and qualifies for continued meal benefits.

Thank you for partnering with us to make sure that every student at CCHS has the opportunity to thrive academically and grow physically. We look forward to another successful school year together.

Warm regards,

Daniel Booth, Superintendent
