Announcements-

 

To celebrate International Spanish Day and a chance to win a prize, send your answer to the following question to Señor Taylor via email: What city was the first capital of Spain? The first person to email Señor Taylor with the correct answer will win a prize!

 

The International Club will meet after school today in J135. There will be snacks and field trip discussions.

 

Chess Club will meet tomorrow after school until 4:30.

 

Punctuality Pays!  All students with 0 tardies this week are entered into this week's drawing! We have Amazon gift cards, XBox cards, Fortnite cards, Starbucks gift cards and more! Winners will be announced on Friday! 

 

Student-Athletes, voting for Male and Female Most Outstanding Senior Athlete is now open. Check your school email or the email used for FinalForms to find the voting link. Voting will conclude Wednesday at 3pm. Stop by the athletic office with questions.


Attention Juniors-The time has come to cast your vote for the 2024 CCHS Prom King and Prom Queen. Check your school email for the voting link. You must submit your vote by Thursday, April 25 by 3PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED! The Prom King and Prom Queen will be announced at Prom this Saturday, April 27 during Coronation.

Attention Juniors and Seniors-Today is the last day to submit your prom song request form. Check your school email to submit your link today.

 

Senior trip tickets will be on sale Tuesday - Friday this week for $30 during lunch across from the cafeteria. All CCHS fees and fines must be paid in order to buy a ticket. Check your CCHS email or the flyer passed out in civics class for more information about the trip. 


Extra Class Color Day t-shirts will be sold for $3 during both lunch hours Tuesday-Friday this week.


Need to make your White Lie Day t-shirt? Stop by the table across from the cafeteria during lunch Tuesday and Wednesday with $5 to make a shirt.  Proceeds from shirt sales will go to Gum Drops. 


Tomorrow's Spring Spirit Week dress up theme is Family Day- 9th Grade Babies, 10th Grade Teenagers, 11th Grade Parents, and 12th Grade Grandparents. 


The Thursday, April 25 SIH Career Exploration visit will be from a member of the SIH Lab Tech Department.  If you would like to participate, please sign up in Maia Learning before the end of the day, Tuesday, April 23, so that you can receive a pass to attend. We will only allow students who sign up through Maia Learning and receive a pass from counseling to attend these events for the remainder of the year. 

 

Congratulations-

Principles of Technology class on their third-place finish in the Great Cardboard Boat Regatta last Saturday. Luis Clark, Noah Marseglia, Daequan Barnett did a great job rowing the boat.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB: There will be a Creative Writing Club today, Monday, April 29 at 3pm in Mrs. Godinez's room, C213. 

 

QUILL: Did you take an awesome picture during the eclipse? If so, you have the opportunity to possibly win a $25 VISA gift card, as well as have your photo featured on the cover of this year's edition of Quill literary magazine. The Spring Terrier Food Drive is in full swing.  Don't forget to bring in food items from the accepted shopping list to participating teachers for extra credit. The food drive will end on May 1st. 

 

Prom 2024 theme: "Nighttime in the City." Tickets: $40. Sold April 15-19 during lunch. Clear CCHS fees first. No tickets sold at the door. Dance starts at 8 pm on April 27. No entry after 9 pm. Out-of-town guest forms available until April 11. Submit by April 12; no late forms accepted.
